GENERAL FLYING PROGRESS TEST
This is the first step in attaining your Private Pilot Licence. The General Flying Progress Test or GFPT is what we call the ab-initio stage of your training. During this stage you are taught the basic theory of flight, how to pilot the aircraft through the initial flight sequences, basic engineering and even how to land the aircraft solo! You will also complete a course of theory instruction, designed to cover the theory aspects of the flight sequences that you will complete during this first stage of training.
Here at The Aeroplane Company we do not wish to create an illusion that all of this will be simple. Learning to fly requires patience, study and periods of intense application. However the rewards are great, providing you with a sense of achievement borne of dedication and self discipline and a Private Pilot's Licence that will open up a welcome new world of exciting experiences. It may even lead to a new and challenging career.
But don't let the thought of hard work deter you. Our hand picked staff of dedicated flight instructors will make this journey of discovery as easy as possible with thorough pre-flight and post-flight briefings and clear flight instruction.
This particular flight training course can be designed to suit your requirements of work and family life to ensure smooth and successful training. Courses can be conducted on both a full-time or part-time basis, with theory courses also running nightly.
